
Angela Dugan has spent the last eighteen years helping nonprofit organizations in Los
Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle, spanning grass roots efforts to large national
organizations with global concerns. Angela’s experience includes fund development, nonprofit
management, board development, organizational change and restructuring, and organizational
support and infrastructure streamlining. Angela’s leadership roles span several industry areas
of the nonprofit sector: universities, healthcare, medical research, eldercare, environmental
protection, disaster relief and social entrepreneurship.
Angela’s services include:

• Development audits and process streamlining
• Board of Director succession planning, recruitment, training and development
• Major gift moves management strategy, planning, implementation and staff training
• Annual fundraising strategy and planning
Angela is currently a partner at Partners in Progress, a consulting agency specializing in
development management guidance. The Partners serve as development staff to guide the
organization and assist in the hiring process as needed. Clients have included Eastside Catholic
School, Eldercare Alliance, the Entrepreneur’s Foundation, Prana Foundation, JDRF, and
Springboard Forward.
Angela’s expertise has been developed over many years and multiple positions at
organizations such as Save-the-Redwoods League, American Red Cross, American Heart
Association, and Santa Clara University. Angela has the depth and breadth of experience
needed to create successful Boards of Directors, a volunteer base, and fundraising plans. For
example, while at Eastside Catholic Angela helped to create the development strategy for the
school’s 40 million dollar campaign, including the creation of a moves management system and
training of novice fundraising staff.
As Chief Marketing and Development Officer for the American Red Cross, Bay Area Chapter,
Angela was responsible for over $12M of operating income and twenty staff. In this role, she
directed the Red Cross’ marketing, communications, and fundraising functions. While at Santa
Clara University, Angela oversaw the direct mail, telemarketing, and annual giving campaigns.
Angela also served in a major gift capacity preparing for the SCU’s $300M capital campaign.
Angela has served in the field raising funds for the AHA as well as serving as the Director of
Field Services.
Angela received her BA in Organizational Behavior and Development from Loyola Marymount
University in Los Angeles. Angela enjoys volunteering in the classroom at several local schools
and helps with fundraising efforts in her community. Over the years Angela has been the Vice
President of Loyola Marymount University’s Alumni Board of Directors and Chairwoman for the
Millennium Reunion. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family hiking, skiing, and fly-
fishing. Her personal hobbies include researching antiques and gardening.
